> About The Ovarian Cancer Institute
Ovarian
Cancer Institute was founded in 1999 by Dr. Benedict Benigno and
is dedicated to researching cancer of the ovaries. The primary
mission of the OCI is to develop innovative research leading to
earlier detection and more effective treatment of ovarian cancer
and to educate and heighten awareness of the symptoms of ovarian
cancer and treatment options.
The Ovarian Cancer Institute and the OCI Research Laboratories
are both located at the Georgia Institute of Technology in
Atlanta, Georgia and are directed by Dr. John McDonald,
Professor and Chair of the School of Biology at Georgia Tech.
With the help of Dr. Benigno, Dr. McDonald and all of the
research staff, it is our hope that, one day, there will be a
total cure for ovarian cancer that will open up new
opportunities to rid our society of this and many other world
wide diseases.
